Empower AI has strengthened its federal technology portfolio by acquiring Highlight Technologies, a move aimed at boosting capabilities in artificial intelligence, cloud platforms, and data management for government clients. The acquisition broadens Empower AI’s reach across mission-critical sectors, particularly supporting agencies like the Departments of State and Homeland Security.
Highlight Technologies, based in Fairfax, Virginia, brings specialized expertise in digital modernization and AI-driven decision support, anchored by its AI Data Integration and Orchestration Engine (AIDE). This platform complements Empower AI’s suite of proprietary AI accelerators and recently received an “Awardable” assessment in the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace, helping unlock further defense contracting opportunities.
The union adds technical depth and established federal relationships, which Empower AI expects to leverage to deliver more sophisticated, cloud-enabled mission systems. This acquisition follows several recent contract wins from major federal clients, including a large recompete from the Defense Information Systems Agency and task orders from NASA and the U.S. Army. These contracts underscore Empower AI’s growing role in driving AI adoption, cloud modernization, and DevSecOps practices across the federal government.
