Editorial Policy

Última actualización: Apr 29, 2026

The Political Journal is committed to accurate, balanced, and transparent reporting on US politics. This page outlines the standards that guide our work.

Independence

The Political Journal is editorially independent. No advertiser, political party, candidate, or outside organization influences our coverage decisions. Editorial content is separated from advertising and clearly distinguishable from it.

Sourcing and Verification

Our reporting draws on a wide range of news wires, official statements, government records, and primary documents. Each article identifies its source where applicable and links to original reporting when available. We aim to verify facts against multiple sources before publication.

Use of AI in Production

We use AI-assisted tools to help summarize, draft, and structure articles based on verified source material. All published content is shaped under editorial direction and follows the standards described on this page. AI is used as a production tool — not as a substitute for editorial judgment, sourcing discipline, or factual accuracy.

Balance and Fairness

We avoid partisan framing, loaded language, and one-sided characterizations. When a story involves political disagreement, we present the substantive positions of the parties involved without endorsing either. We distinguish reporting from analysis, and we label opinion content where it appears.

Corrections

Errors of fact will be corrected promptly. When a correction materially changes the meaning of an article, we add a clear correction notice at the bottom of the piece. To report an error, email [email protected] with the subject [The Political Journal] — Correction and include the article URL and the passage in question.

Sources and Anonymity

We prefer named, on-the-record sources. Anonymous sourcing — when used — follows standard journalistic practice: the source has direct knowledge of the matter, the information cannot reasonably be obtained on the record, and an editor agrees to its use.

Reader Trust

We do not run sponsored content disguised as editorial. We do not accept payment to publish or remove articles. If you encounter content you believe violates these standards, please contact us at [email protected].
