Coinbase has integrated an artificial intelligence-driven, SEC-registered investment adviser into its app, enhancing the experience for Coinbase One members in the United States. The new Coinbase Advisor is designed to simplify complex investment strategies, such as tax-loss harvesting and real-time trade recommendations, by performing advanced analytical tasks to help users optimize their wealth-building efforts.
Alongside the AI adviser, Coinbase announced several upcoming features aimed at broadening user engagement. Next month, tokenized stocks will become available for customers outside the U.S., while options trading for both cryptocurrency and stocks is set to launch in the following months. Users can now transfer stock portfolios from other platforms directly to Coinbase and access zero-commission equities through Coinbase Advanced. Additionally, thematic equity indices can be traded via real-world asset perpetual futures, expanding market opportunities beyond traditional crypto assets.
Coinbase also introduced new prediction market capabilities, including crypto binaries for time-specific “up or down” bets on assets like bitcoin, and combos that allow bundling multiple predictions into a single trade across various categories. From June 17, users will gain early trading access to new tokens onchains such as Base and Solana through a dedicated New Launches tab in the app.
Financial services enhancements include a Travel Portal linked to the Coinbase One Card, offering 5% bitcoin rewards on travel bookings. The company also launched credit solutions that allow users unable to secure traditional credit lines to back their Coinbase One Card with USDC collateral. Furthermore, Coinbase now lets users borrow against staked Solana assets and introduced Transfer Protection, a new security feature controlling outgoing fund transfers.
For corporate clients, Coinbase revealed a Developer Platform granting businesses access to wallet infrastructure, payment processing, trading mechanisms, and stablecoin issuance, aiming to support integrated financial solutions. Coinbase emphasized its vision of a unified financial ecosystem where banking, brokerage, and crypto wallets are combined into a seamless, intelligent onchain experience accessible via its platform.
