Geo Nicolaidis, who served as the executive director of Deriv’s Cyprus division and led the development of AI automation tools, has left the company to dedicate himself to his new venture, TrailBit.io. The startup specializes in Bitcoin blockchain analytics, offering forensic services and research tools designed for both individuals and organizations navigating the cryptocurrency landscape.

During his tenure at Deriv, Nicolaidis held multiple senior roles including Senior Product Manager and Technical Product Owner for AI Automations. He was instrumental in expanding Deriv’s Cyprus operations, instituting hiring practices, and building operational infrastructure that helped the office secure a Great Place to Work certification for three years in a row, alongside an Investors in People Platinum accreditation. His work spanned trading platform enhancements, affiliate systems, developer API initiatives, and automation projects that improved internal workflows using AI technologies.

Before Deriv, Nicolaidis accumulated nearly a decade of experience at XAmplifier, where he managed European operations and supported the growth of a SaaS platform used by millions of patients in the United States. He also spent time as a Senior Product Manager at FXGT, where he contributed to redesigning trading platforms for clients and partners.

Deriv itself underwent leadership restructuring last year, moving from a co-CEO model to a single CEO system under Rakshit Choudhary after co-founder Jean-Yves Sireau stepped down from executive duties. Sireau remains the majority shareholder and is engaging in a separate AI-driven health optimization venture.

TrailBit.io aims to fill critical gaps in Bitcoin analytics by delivering tools for blockchain transaction forensics and research. The company also disseminates findings through its TrailBit Labs to inform and empower its users in the evolving digital asset sector.
