Freedom24 has enhanced its Tradernet brokerage platform by opening it to artificial intelligence tools through an integration with the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This development allows traders to manage portfolios, access quotes, place orders, and receive alerts using AI assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex.

The company’s integration enables users to interact with their financial data and trading operations through natural language commands, making processes like retrieving market information, reviewing historical trade data, and obtaining event updates more accessible. According to Freedom24’s Chief Product Officer, this marks a significant move toward embedding intelligent interfaces within financial infrastructure, paving the way for AI to become an integral part of client interactions in finance.

This expansion comes amid a broader industry shift embracing the MCP standard, which facilitates secure and controlled AI access to trading platforms. Earlier adopters include ThinkMarkets, which launched an MCP server that permits AI-driven trade execution while safeguarding deposit and withdrawal functions. Similarly, popular platforms such as MetaTrader 5 and Spotware’s cTrader have incorporated MCP support, allowing AI agents to access market data, account details, orders, positions, and trading workflows. Capital.com also introduced an MCP server with added security measures tailored to clients in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Freedom24’s AI integration aligns with its strategic ambitions in Europe, where the firm is pursuing a banking license that could extend its scope beyond investment services. This effort complements its vision of building a comprehensive financial ecosystem similar to its existing SuperApp in Kazakhstan, which merges banking, payments, investing, insurance, telecommunications, and e-commerce within one platform. The adoption of MCP-based AI connectivity is expected to facilitate seamless integration of these services under common technology frameworks, offering diverse user interfaces tailored to different customer needs.
