A prominent crypto analyst has identified XRP, Stellar (XLM), and Ondo Finance (ONDO) as pivotal players in the next phase of cryptocurrency adoption, driven by their real-world applications rather than speculative hype. These projects aim to replace multitrillion-dollar legacy systems by offering more efficient financial services and tokenized asset platforms.

XRP stands out as a global payments settlement network that accelerates cross-border transactions by converting fiat currencies into XRP for near-instant transfers, bypassing traditional correspondent banking chains. The XRP Ledger settles payments within seconds at minimal cost, positioning it as a digital bridge currency facilitating global liquidity.

Stellar’s network also targets cross-border financial flows, focusing on inclusion through low-cost, near-instant transactions ideal for remittances and small international transfers. Founded by a Ripple co-founder, Stellar connects banks, financial institutions, and individuals by leveraging its native token, XLM, to streamline currency exchanges.

Ondo Finance emerges as a leader in tokenizing real-world assets, especially government securities and expanding into U.S. stocks and ETFs. This sector is projected to grow substantially in the coming decade, and Ondo’s DeFi-native products already control a significant share of tokenized government bonds. Its platform enables broader access to traditionally illiquid markets through blockchain technology.

Beyond these three, the analyst also noted other infrastructure-focused cryptocurrencies like Solana, Chainlink, Cardano, and Algorand. Each network addresses specific legacy financial functions, growing steadily through partnerships and integrations rather than sudden speculative rallies. This suggests a maturation in crypto valuation driven by utility and adoption milestones rather than pure market speculation.
