Google has committed to acquiring 50% of the electricity from the Loviisa nuclear power plant in Finland through a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with energy provider Fortum. This deal extends until the mid-21st century, positioning nuclear energy as a key component in Google’s goal to operate entirely on carbon-free energy.
