Subaru has positioned the 2027 Uncharted as its most affordable and popular electric vehicle (EV) in the US market, with a starting price of $34,995 and an impressive driving range exceeding 300 miles in the base trim. This smaller crossover SUV, measuring just under 178 inches in length, has quickly surpassed Subaru’s Solterra in sales since its launch, establishing itself as a key player in the brand’s EV lineup.

The Uncharted comes in three trim levels: Premium FWD, Sport, and GT. The base Premium trim offers front-wheel drive and delivers more than 300 miles of estimated range from a shared 74.7-kWh battery pack. The Sport and GT trims, equipped with Subaru’s signature dual-motor Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system generating 338 horsepower, have slightly lower ranges of 287 and 273 miles, respectively, due to the additional rear motor.

Subaru integrates its X-MODE Dual Mode system in the AWD variants, enhancing traction by adjusting vehicle settings automatically when driving conditions demand extra control beyond the AWD system alone. Every model supports NACS charging ports compatible with DC fast charging up to 150 kW, allowing the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in roughly 28 minutes thanks to battery preconditioning technology.

Inside, the 14-inch central touchscreen infotainment display includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Subaru’s EyeSight advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) is standard, offering features like adaptive cruise control and lane departure alert. The Uncharted provides 8.2 inches of ground clearance and more than 25 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, balancing sportiness with practicality.

All 2027 Uncharted models come with an all-weather package that includes heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors, and a windshield wiper de-icer, aimed at enhancing comfort in colder climates. Customers seeking extra features can opt for the Sport trim, priced at $39,795, which adds AWD, heated steering wheel, power rear gate, low-profile roof rails, and durable StarTex upholstery designed for easy cleaning. The range-topping GT trim at $43,795 offers further upgrades such as a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a digital rearview mirror, Harman Kardon premium audio, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

With its combination of extended range, accessible pricing, and a rich list of standard and optional features, Subaru’s 2027 Uncharted aims to strengthen its foothold in the competitive compact electric SUV segment.
