Voltpost has partnered with EV charging service provider InCharge Energy to scale up installations of its innovative lamppost and utility pole electric vehicle chargers across multiple US states, starting with New York, Connecticut, and California. This collaboration aims to make affordable EV charging more accessible in dense urban neighborhoods where traditional infrastructure often faces installation challenges.

The partnership designates InCharge Energy as Voltpost’s preferred installation and maintenance provider. Certified field teams from InCharge will manage the entire process—from installing chargers to providing ongoing upkeep—ensuring site hosts interact with a single point of contact for all service needs. This streamlined approach is expected to shorten deployment times and enhance operational reliability.

Voltpost’s technology repurposes existing streetlamps and utility poles to fit Level 2 chargers, a strategy that helps reduce construction complexity and costs. Unlike conventional chargers requiring separate infrastructure, this retrofit model enables more widespread curbside and parking lot charging options, addressing the scarcity of available spots in urban environments.

To support this growing network, the partnership leverages Voltpost Care, a monitoring platform powered by InCharge’s InControl charge management software. This system delivers real-time insights into charger performance, enabling proactive maintenance and rapid response to technical issues. Heightened network visibility aims to minimize downtime and improve the user experience for EV drivers.

By combining Voltpost’s scalable charging technology with InCharge Energy’s installation expertise and software-driven operations, the alliance targets accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles through convenient and cost-effective public charging solutions.
