Kazakhstan secured significant investment pledges for Alatau City during a major roadshow in China that culminated in 30 agreements and memorandums totaling $6.4 billion. The event featured 20 presentations and high-level meetings aimed at showcasing the city's investment potential to international partners.

Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev reported that the roadshow involved engagements with influential figures such as the Mayor of Shenzhen, Qin Weizhong, Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee, and leaders from major global corporations. These discussions helped cement the agreements, positioning Alatau City as a key destination for foreign investment and innovation.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the need to establish a sustainable development framework for Alatau City, directing the government to prioritize funding for the city's infrastructure to support this goal. The government is tasked with mobilizing resources to ensure the city can attract and maintain global capital while fostering innovation.

The briefing also covered updates on Kazakhstan’s national project for the "Modernization of the Energy and Utilities Sectors." A historic investment of 1.1 trillion tenge (around $2.2 billion), sourced from both domestic and international institutions, will be implemented this year to reduce the deterioration of utility networks by 40% within three years. Tokayev instructed authorities to maximize the engagement of local manufacturers in these projects and enforce careful monitoring of the ongoing agricultural season, particularly in southern regions.
