Digital marketing agency Moburst has closed an $11.8 million investment round with Chrysalis Holdings, marking a significant evolution in how agencies and clients collaborate beyond traditional service agreements. This infusion not only boosts Moburst’s capacity to support NewDay USA’s marketing operations but also grants Chrysalis an ownership stake, aligning their financial interests for joint growth and innovation.

Moburst has operated as NewDay USA’s agency of record since 2023, managing areas such as performance marketing, SEO, PR, social media, creative content, podcasting, and web development. The partnership has now expanded to include NewDay’s AI transformation strategy, notably through NewDay Home—a program aiding veterans and service members to purchase homes without upfront payments. This deal also gives NewDay access to Moburst’s Growth Labs, a proprietary AI innovation hub tasked with pioneering new AI-driven marketing techniques.

Gilad Bechar, Moburst’s founder and CEO, emphasized that this capital injection enables the agency to pursue faster and more aggressive mergers and acquisitions alongside enhancing their AI technology investments. Moburst’s dedicated AI team of 22 specialists reflects the firm’s shift toward tech-driven solutions, distinguishing it from a conventional marketing agency model. According to Bechar, the agency-client equity alignment is part of an “emerging trend” supporting deeper, more integrated partnerships that foster shared objectives and accelerated growth.

This approach is not new for Moburst. Early in its expansion, the agency financed its U.S. market entry by offering equity to startup clients, a strategy that now extends to Chrysalis. Moburst currently serves roughly 150 clients, including Microsoft Copilot, and has acquired five firms recently to broaden its capabilities across AI, digital marketing, and growth services. Both Moburst and Chrysalis are pursuing aggressive expansion plans, banking on the synergies of their partnership to unlock additional market potential.
