Jimmy Kimmel took aim at Donald Trump this week after the president posted a photograph of himself holding a rifle with explosions in the background. The image, accompanied by a caption about Iran and a "NO MORE MR. NICE GUY" tagline, prompted Kimmel to deliver a comedic response on his late-night program.

The photo showed Trump wielding a gun with the caption: "Iran can't get their act together. They don't know how to sign a non-nuclear deal. They better get smart and soon." Trump posted the image at 4:05 a.m. on Truth Social. Kimmel noted the timing and referenced the administration's earlier position against conducting negotiations through media channels, joking that the White House instead negotiates "exclusively through Truth Social posts from the president's toilet in the middle of the night."

Questioning whether the photograph would have its intended effect, Kimmel said the Iranian leadership might interpret it differently than intended. "Best case scenario, they go, 'You know what? The old man's lost his marbles. He can't sleep. He's cosplaying as fat John Wick,'" Kimmel said. He suggested that Iranian officials might instead be concerned enough to "call his kids to make sure he's okay."

The host then expanded his mockery, asking whether Trump believed the image would intimidate Iran's religious leadership, particularly after two months of military operations. Kimmel added that the photograph made Trump "look like Rambo and Dumbo at the same time."

Kimmel concluded by noting that Trump had waited three days after the White House Correspondents' Dinner before posting a picture of himself with an assault rifle, describing the restraint as considerable.
