Slalom has announced the appointment of Dan Garrison as its Chief AI Officer, signaling a strategic move to deepen its focus on delivering measurable business value through artificial intelligence. Garrison will shape the company’s AI vision and coordinate efforts across market teams and technology partnerships to advance enterprise AI adoption.

The appointment reflects a shift in corporate AI priorities, as organizations move past initial experiments with generative AI toward scaling enterprise-wide implementations that meet real business needs. Instead of endorsing any single AI model or platform, Slalom’s approach under Garrison emphasizes identifying use cases tailored to each client, ensuring responsible AI deployment, and fostering programs that deliver quantifiable outcomes.

Garrison’s role will involve close collaboration with clients and technology partners to accelerate AI initiatives, translate strategy into operational results, and equip Slalom’s consulting teams with up-to-date training, tools, and insights from diverse industry deployments. This leadership comes amid a complex AI ecosystem where companies must navigate multiple models, data environments, and platforms.

Drawing on nearly thirty years of experience, including a lengthy tenure at Accenture where he focused on digital transformation, generative AI, quantum computing, and global technology leadership, Garrison brings a broad expertise crucial to both client engagement and internal innovation at Slalom. Most recently, as Chief Technology Officer of Accenture Song, he led large-scale technology and innovation strategies worldwide.

Slalom’s AI philosophy, described as “fiercely human AI,” integrates automation and emerging technologies with human judgment and organizational change. Garrison’s appointment is expected to strengthen the firm’s capability to guide clients as they integrate AI responsibly, blending technology with practical business transformation rather than treating AI as a standalone technology project.
