Military representatives from Azerbaijan and Serbia convened in Baku to discuss expanding their collaboration on cybersecurity under their 2026 Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan. The meeting focused on information security challenges, threat mitigation, and the protection of critical infrastructure essential to national defense.

Hosted by the International Military Cooperation Department of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense, the session allowed experts from both countries to exchange best practices, discuss cyber incident response strategies, and explore training opportunities for cybersecurity personnel. The dialogue highlighted evolving cyber threats and stressed the importance of joint efforts to strengthen defense readiness.

Azerbaijan and Serbia, whose military ties include defense procurement and tactical training, regard cybersecurity as a strategic dimension crucial to their shared interests in sovereignty, territorial integrity, and energy security.
