Iran has issued a sharp warning to the United Arab Emirates to evacuate key airports and ports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi if the United States targets Iranian civilian infrastructure. The alert specifically mentions the airports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and the ports of Fujairah and Jebel Ali as potential sites requiring immediate evacuation. This development underscores the growing fears of a wider conflict triggered by American military actions against Iran.

The warning came through a security official quoted by Iran’s Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, highlighting Tehran’s readiness to expand its retaliatory measures. Mohammad Marandi, part of Tehran’s media team involved in international negotiations, also indicated on social media that continued US strikes on civilian infrastructure would prompt Iran to target critical infrastructure in countries supporting Washington’s strategy in the region. He specifically referenced recent attacks against Kuwait and urged citizens in the UAE to avoid areas that may become targets.

Recent Iranian missile and drone strikes have hit vital Kuwaiti facilities, including power and water plants, resulting in fires and injuries to emergency responders. Kuwait described these attacks as part of a systematic campaign against civilian sites, which has disrupted normal life and led to the suspension of flights at Kuwait International Airport. Iran has also expanded attacks against Bahrain, focusing on US military bases and critical infrastructure, further escalating threats to Gulf allies of Washington.

This wave of violence follows a significant US-Israeli military operation targeting Iranian nuclear and military facilities earlier in the year. The operation, described as preemptive, severely damaged Iran’s strategic assets and resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader. Iran responded swiftly with "Operation True Promise IV," launching missile and drone attacks on Israel and US bases across the Gulf. The UAE, closely allied with the US, has borne the brunt of Iran’s retaliatory strikes, heightening concerns over security and civilian safety in the Gulf region.
