The Hanover Township Mental Health Board approved $48,789 in funding at its April 28 meeting held at the Senior Center in Bartlett. The allocation targeted three primary areas: mental health housing, staff development, and capital equipment improvements.

Ecker Center for Behavioral Health received the largest portion, securing $27,500 in Mental Health Housing Funding. The resources will support case management services and weekly therapy groups at Hanover Landing, a facility located in Elgin.

Two organizations received staff development funding to support professional training initiatives. Marklund was awarded $3,000, while WINGS received $2,794 to help personnel attend training programs.

Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley obtained $15,495 in Capital Funding designated for audiology equipment at their Elgin facility, expanding the organization's diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities in the region.
