Hyundai has significantly reduced lease prices for the 2025 Ioniq 6, making this electric sedan more accessible for budget-conscious drivers. In California, the base SE Standard Range trim can be leased for just $189 per month over 24 months, with $3,999 due at signing. This entry-level model features a rear-mounted electric motor producing 149 horsepower and offers an EPA-estimated range of 240 miles.
For a modest increase of $10 per month, customers can upgrade to the SE trim, which comes with a larger battery providing up to 342 miles of range and a more powerful 225-horsepower rear motor. Both trim levels support fast charging up to 350 kW, enabling an 80% charge in approximately 18 minutes, ideal for daily commuters.
Lease deals vary by region. In New York, the Ioniq 6 SE Standard Range costs $229 monthly, while the longer-range SE is available for $239 per month, both with the same $3,999 down payment and 24-month lease. Despite the slightly higher price, these offers remain competitive in the EV market.
Buyers interested in purchasing outright benefit from discounts up to $7,500 off the MSRP, bringing the starting price to around $32,095. Hyundai also promotes financing options with zero percent APR for up to 60 months, plus a three-month payment deferral, providing flexible pathways to ownership.
Standard features on the Ioniq 6 SE trims include LED headlights, automatic high beams, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SE trim adds heated front seats for increased comfort.
However, prospective lessees should be aware that Hyundai discontinued the Ioniq 6 for the U.S. market due to poor sales, making these current leases some of the last available domestically. Still, production continues abroad, and because the Ioniq 6 shares many components with the Ioniq 5 crossover, access to parts and servicing should remain straightforward.
Following the expiration of the federal tax credit for new EVs, manufacturers like Hyundai have resorted to significant price cuts and leasing incentives to stimulate sales. This leasing promotion on the Ioniq 6 exemplifies that trend, delivering an affordable entry point into electric vehicle ownership.
