Subaru has announced pricing and key details for its 2027 Trailseeker, a rugged electric SUV that stands out with its competitive starting price of $39,995 and a suite of performance and comfort features. Building on its recent success as Subaru’s best-selling electric SUV, the Trailseeker combines a spacious interior with all-wheel-drive capability and a powerful electric drivetrain.

The Trailseeker runs on a 74.7 kWh battery, offering an estimated range of up to 281 miles on a single charge. It supports DC fast charging of up to 150 kW, allowing a recharge from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes. Its all-wheel-drive system, a signature feature of Subaru vehicles, works alongside the dual-mode X-MODE traction control to optimize stability on challenging terrains. Sporting 8.3 inches of ground clearance, the SUV aims to deliver true off-road practicality.

Under the hood, the Trailseeker produces a combined 375 horsepower, making it Subaru’s quickest US production vehicle with a 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. It can tow up to 3,500 pounds, enhancing its utility for rugged adventures and hauling needs.

Subaru offers the Trailseeker in three trims: Premium, Limited, and Touring. The base Premium trim includes features such as Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist technology, heated front seats, wireless dual phone chargers, a power rear gate, and 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. The interior features StartTex upholstery and a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.

Upgrading to the Limited trim raises the price to $43,995 and adds luxury touches like a Harmon Kardon premium audio system, heated rear seats, 20-inch wheels, a panoramic view monitor, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 120-volt AC power outlet for flexible charging options. The top-tier Touring trim, priced at $46,555, further enhances the package with a gloss-black hood accent and a panoramic glass roof, emphasizing style alongside functionality.

Dimensionally, the Trailseeker is larger than Subaru’s Solterra, boasting more length and height to improve interior space and cargo capacity. It offers 31.3 cubic feet of cargo room, comparable to the 2026 Subaru Outback and slightly surpassing competitors like the Tesla Model Y, which has a similar cargo volume. Despite the Model Y’s slightly larger footprint in length and width, the Trailseeker’s additional ground clearance positions it as a more capable off-road vehicle.
