Kazakhstan and China have renewed their commitment to intensify cooperation across key sectors including trade, innovation, artificial intelligence, and transport connectivity. The pledge followed discussions between Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, held in Beijing.

The dialogue focused on expanding the Kazakhstan-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership amid shifting regional and global dynamics. Both sides recognized the growing role of advanced technologies and innovation in shaping their economic relationship, with Kazakhstan pursuing digital transformation and diversification of its economy.

Transport and logistics emerged as critical areas for enhanced cooperation. Kazakhstan serves as a vital transit corridor connecting China to Europe through the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and other Eurasian networks. Strengthening these links supports broader regional integration and facilitates more efficient trade flows between Asia and Europe.

Beyond bilateral economic ties, Kazakhstan and China underscored their coordination within multilateral organizations and international platforms. The meeting emphasized sustaining a close strategic dialogue on regional and global issues, reinforcing the comprehensive nature of their partnership.

This session in Beijing builds on recent high-level exchanges that expanded cooperation into cutting-edge fields like AI, digitalization, and sustainable development. Officials from both countries agreed on the importance of practical collaboration across these priority sectors, aiming to deepen their partnership in the years ahead.
