Uzbekistan Airports and Air China held talks aimed at enhancing air connectivity between Uzbekistan and China, focusing on significantly increasing the frequency of flights between Beijing and Tashkent. The two sides considered raising the current schedule from three weekly flights to seven, more than doubling services on the route.
The meeting, held at Uzbekistan Airports' headquarters, involved senior Air China representatives, who also explored opportunities to expand the airline’s presence across Uzbekistan’s international airports. Special attention was given to regional airports capable of accommodating new international flights, with particular interest in the Fergana Valley.
Air China expressed enthusiasm about potentially launching routes to the Fergana Valley, highlighting the region’s promise for boosting tourism, business exchanges, and humanitarian ties. Uzbekistan Airports underscored its readiness to support this expansion, emphasizing current infrastructure and the strategic goal to broaden its partnership with Air China to increase passenger volumes and strengthen transport links.
