A political action committee (PAC) financed by leading crypto firms Anchorage Digital and Chainlink Labs announced endorsements for a group of U.S. Senate and House candidates competing in the 2026 midterm elections. The Blockchain Leadership Fund seeks to back politicians committed to advancing blockchain and digital asset regulation in the United States.

The PAC’s initial slate includes ten candidates: four seeking Senate seats and six running for the House of Representatives. Their selections span party lines, featuring Republicans such as Barry Moore (Alabama), Kurt Alme (Montana), Jon Husted (Ohio), Houston Gaines (Georgia’s 10th district), Jim Kingston (Georgia’s 1st district), and Jon Bonck (Texas’ 38th district). On the Democratic side, endorsements include Angie Craig for Senate in Minnesota and Adrian Boafo (Maryland), Christian Menefee (Texas), and Don Davis (North Carolina) for House seats.

The committee describes itself as a hybrid PAC, allowing it to contribute directly to campaigns while also making independent expenditures in support of its endorsed candidates. It intends to expand its endorsements to other candidates who advocate for responsible digital asset policies prior to November’s midterm elections.

Combined filings with the Federal Election Commission show the fund has received $175,000 to date—$100,000 from Anchorage and $75,000 from Chainlink. The PAC’s involvement builds on significant crypto-backed spending from allied groups during the 2024 cycle. Affiliates like Fairshake’s Defend American Jobs PAC have injected millions into media campaigns supporting some of these candidates, including $8.5 million combined for Kingston, Gaines, and Moore, alongside substantial sums backing Bonck, Menefee, and Boafo.

An Anchorage Digital representative underscored the importance of bipartisan engagement to maintain U.S. leadership in financial technology and innovation. The spokesperson emphasized a commitment to policies that bring digital assets further under regulatory frameworks while fostering trust within the ecosystem.

Several endorsed candidates recently saw success in primaries ahead of the general election. Kingston and Gaines secured Republican nominations in Georgia, while Moore faces an upcoming runoff in Alabama. Meanwhile, Menefee and incumbent Al Green are set for a runoff in Texas, reflecting continued crypto-industry engagement in competitive races across multiple states.
