FOMO 10/40 Creamery, a Bismarck-based ice cream business, is using a grant from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture to expand its wholesale operations across the state. The company plans to supply its ice cream to small businesses rather than pursue distribution through large grocery chains at this stage of growth.

Owner Andrew Hershey emphasized that maintaining consistent quality remains central to the company's expansion strategy. He stated that the focus on local retail partners aligns with the business's values. "We want to really support the small, local businesses to help them keep open, but also give them the opportunity to sell our product first. I think local North Dakota ice cream sold locally, within a local business, means more to me," Hershey said.

Beyond the wholesale expansion, the grant will fund a brand refresh that includes updates to the company's physical space. The creamery, located in central Bismarck, traces its origins to 2019, when it began operations as an ice cream trailer before establishing its current brick-and-mortar location.
