Beachman Bikes, a recent entrant in Canada’s motorcycle manufacturing scene, launched the Aviator, a battery-powered two-wheeler designed with inspiration from 1960s British cafe racers. The Aviator caters to different rider needs by offering two distinct models: a Class 2 e-bike equipped with pedals and a Light Motorcycle version, with a third premium motorcycle option planned for release later this year.

The entry-level Aviator e-bike starts at $5,499 and complies with e-bike regulations by including pedals. It runs on a removable 2.8-kilowatt-hour battery, which provides a range exceeding 55 miles and a top speed capped at 20 mph on public roads. Riders using private roads can reach speeds up to 35 mph. For longer journeys, an optional 4.3-kWh battery extends the range beyond 80 miles on a single charge. Charging the batteries is convenient through a standard 120-volt outlet.

For users seeking more power and speed, the Aviator Light Motorcycle version starts at $5,999 and requires formal registration, license, and insurance. This model can support riders up to 350 pounds and features a top speed of 45 mph. Like the e-bike, it offers similar range options depending on the battery size installed.

Looking ahead, Beachman Bikes plans to release a flagship model this fall, presenting a more robust 125cc-equivalent electric motorcycle. This premium variant will come with an 8.2-kWh fixed battery, an 8-kilowatt motor, a top speed near 60 mph, and an estimated range surpassing 125 miles. Pricing and other details will be disclosed closer to its market debut.

All Aviator models share the company’s latest chassis design and incorporate practical features, including built-in storage located where a gas tank would traditionally sit. Additionally, they come equipped with brake lights, turn signals, headlight, mirrors, side reflectors, a horn, and a USB-C port for charging small devices. Safety is enhanced by an anti-theft handlebar lock and a double-locked battery system. Users can also remotely start and stop the bike using a key fob.

Beachman Bikes funded the initial development of the Aviator through a Kickstarter campaign and is currently fulfilling over 150 preorders. Production is expected to ramp up once these early orders are completed, with all units built to customer specifications.
