Motorola has introduced the Moto Tag 2, a new location tracker featuring ultra-wideband (UWB) technology for precise device tracking within the Android Find Hub network. The Tracker stands out in a crowded market of Android-compatible Find Hub devices by offering this advanced connectivity option, which remains absent from most competitors.

Beyond the UWB upgrade—which was already available on the original Moto Tag—the Moto Tag 2 offers significantly improved battery life, claiming more than 600 days of operation on a standard CR2032 battery cell. This enhancement marks a distinct practical benefit for users who value longevity and minimal maintenance in tracking devices.

Motorola has quietly begun retailing the Moto Tag 2 in select regions, with official pricing set at £29.99 in the UK and €40 in Germany. In the United States, the product has not yet appeared through official Motorola channels but is available via third-party sellers on Amazon, typically in four-packs priced around $120. Early buyers confirm these are genuine products, and Amazon fulfillment ensures reliable delivery.

The Moto Tag 2 arrives in multiple color options, including a new vibrant orange variant, alongside green and beige versions. While it remains unclear whether Motorola will launch single-unit sales widely, current offerings suggest the four-pack provides more value per tracker, aligning with the brand’s previous sales strategies for the original Moto Tag.

This product competes with other Android Find Hub trackers from brands like Chipolo and Pebblebee, which have focused on features such as standard Bluetooth tracking, wallet-friendly designs, or additional functionalities like integrated flashlights and safety sirens. However, none of these alternatives currently support UWB, which enables faster, more accurate location tracking.
