President Donald Trump disclosed that he is reviewing a fresh Iranian proposal aimed at ending the war, but expressed doubt about whether the terms would prove acceptable. Trump made the comments at West Palm Beach, Florida, before boarding Air Force One on Saturday.
According to reports, Iran conveyed a 14-point proposal through Pakistan as a potential pathway to conflict resolution. This latest overture follows Trump's rejection of a previous Iranian proposal earlier in the week. Despite the rejection, diplomatic channels remain open, and a three-week ceasefire continues to hold.
Meanwhile, concerns mount over the condition of imprisoned Iranian human rights lawyer Narges Mohammadi. Her family has warned that her health faces significant risk while in custody.
On a separate front, the United States has cautioned shipping companies against making payments to Iran in exchange for safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, warning of potential sanctions for any such transactions. Additionally, Iran has executed two individuals who were convicted of espionage for Israel.
