Frontier Airlines is providing relief to travelers affected by Spirit Airlines’ shutdown by waiving the $50 enrollment fee for its Discount Den low-fare club. Until Friday, customers can join Discount Den by paying only the annual membership cost of $59.99, making it easier for those disrupted by Spirit’s closure to secure affordable travel options.

The waived fee allows both new and current Discount Den members to save money on future bookings, while also earning miles and Elite Status Points. To sweeten the deal, members who refer friends or family to join Discount Den will receive a $25 voucher, using their Frontier Miles membership number as a unique referral code.

In addition to the Discount Den offer, Frontier has introduced the “Fly One, Get One” promotion. Qualifying Frontier Miles members can earn an extra 5,000 miles for each round-trip flight taken through August 31, up to four round trips for a total of 20,000 bonus miles—enough for four one-way domestic award flights. This initiative aims to help travelers rebuild miles lost after Spirit’s operations ceased.

Joining the Frontier Miles loyalty program is free, and members accumulate standard miles based on their Elite Status level for every dollar spent. To participate in the promotions, members must opt in through Frontier’s website at least 24 hours before booking each flight.

Beyond these loyalty rewards, Frontier continues to offer “rescue fares,” which provide discounts of up to 50% off base fares for bookings made before May 15. Flights booked under this promotion must be completed by November 19, allowing customers more time to adjust their travel plans.

These combined initiatives represent Frontier’s effort to support budget travelers navigating sudden cancellations, positioning itself as a competitive alternative in the wake of Spirit Airlines’ shutdown.
